Langley Park Angling Association currently owns the fishing rights to two ponds and a short stretch of River in the County Durham area.

The association also operates an "exchange" ticket scheme with several other local clubs so that LPAA members also have access to other "private" club waters locally. Details of this can be scheme can be found on our website.

Located just off the A68 and four miles west of Castleside, turn south at the Manor House pub and follow the road into the valley
Derwent reservoir is popular with anglers who enjoy lots of bank space and the opportunity to catch trout weighing up to 20lbs.
Coarse anglers who like roach fishing, fish from the south shore and the dam wall only. Derwent is suitable for disabled anglers and visitors.

There is a shop stocked with everything you need for a day’s fishing including rods, reels, tackle, accessories, clothing, worms & bait. The shop also sells refreshments including ice creams plushot and cold drinks. Environment Agency rod licences are also on sale at this fishery.
For those not fishing there are several picnicking and play areas, plus spectacular walks along the north and south shores and across the dam.
Throughout the season a number of tagged fish will be stocked, with special prizes awarded to those anglers who catch them.
River Wear in Durham City
Free water open to all.

On the stretch of the river Wear beginning at the Elvet Bridge and running along to the fence at the rowing club.
Only fish from the County hall side of the river.
Eden Meadows is a day ticket fishery and is open to the public most of the year.
Comprising 3 well stocked fishing lakes with good access to all pegs. There are car parking facilities on-site ensuring a short walk to all lakes and wheelchair disabled anglers have permission to drive down to the water where adequate room is available to park close to a peg.

On-site facilities and beautiful surroundings ensure a good days fishing can be had by anglers of all ages. Two match lakes ensure the discerning match anglers are well catered for too!
